TRANSFERRING UW CREDITS
Through the UWHS program, high school students can earn University of Washington credits. To transfer their UW credit to other institutions, students should contact prospective colleges or universities to verify whether or not their UW credits will be accepted and what requirements there are to ensure transfer. In most cases, students must order their official UW academic transcripts and send them to the college or university they plan to attend.

Below is a list of selected Washington institutions that generally do, and in two cases, do not accept “college in the high school” credits. UWHS cannot guarantee credit transfer. Colleges or universities may consider credit transfer on a case-by-case basis, including which UW course was taken and the grade the student earned. The links provided below connect with the source page on the college or university’s website.

Note that UW credits earned through UWHS are already UW credits. If a student matriculates to the UW, those credits appear on their official UW student record.

Through the Admissions Office at UW, UWHS courses are weighted equally with Advanced Placement courses. Both options for earning college credit in high school are viewed as demonstration of a student’s ability to successfully engage in university-level coursework.
